On Monday, December 1 at Good Shepherd Church in Hayesville, The Lake Chatuge GreenFaith Team will be holding a non denominational prayer vigil for the success of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change starting on December 1 in Lima, Peru. This is the 20th such Convention and the time is crucial. The world's leaders must come up with solutions all can agree on to stem the growth of climate change causing weather disasters not seen before in modern times.

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville invites everyone to “Sharing Christmas” this Sunday, November 23, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.This annual event supports local charitable organizations that provide many of life's necessities to the less fortunate. Representatives from area organizations will be present to explain the help they give to those who need it the most. Good Shepherd is located at 495 Herbert Hills Road off Hwy. 64E about 1 mile from Walgreens. Red and green balloons will mark the entrance to the church.

Good Shepherd Episcopal Church Hayesville has joined in a new venture: cleaning up a boat ramp and shoreline on beautiful Lake Chatuge. The church is now a partner in the state of North Carolina's “Adopt a Boat Ramp” environmental stewardship program.
