The four canonical Gospels share common material but differ in important ways in their telling the life and ministry of Jesus. In this course we will examine in brief each of the Gospels with an eye toward comparing and contrasting the likely contexts in which the Gospels were written, their intended audiences, and editor’s intentions, their sources, their theology and themes, their common material and their unique contributions to the story of God with us.
