Sacred Threads

Good Shepherd has again been awarded the honor and prestige of hosting Sacred Threads, a traveling exhibition of 37 art quilts. The quilts explore themes of spirituality, joy, inspiration, peace, grief, brotherhood and healing. Fewer than 50 venues across the US were selected to host this exhibit and most are in large urban areas.

The Arts and Spirituality Ministry invites you to become involved with this exciting event. As many of you will remember, the exhibition was an enormous success at Good Shepherd in 2016. We had the privilege of welcoming over 1,000 guests into our Parish Hall to view and experience the quilts. Docents are needed to serve as hosts to welcome our guests daily during the two week exhibition. Please sign up on the volunteer sheet located on the bulletin board in the information hallway. A training session for docents
will be held Friday, July 13 at 11:00 am in the Parish Hall.

A private showing and reception for Good Shepherd parishioners and a few guests will
open the exhibition on Sunday, July 15, from 4:00-6:00 pm. Watch your email for a special invitation.

Exhibition dates: Monday, July 16 through Sunday, July 29
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Sundays, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
